Legionella: what is it and how do you prevent it

Preventive control and maintenance are essential to fight the Legionella bacteria.

The outbreaks of Legionella infections in recent years have raised much awareness towards this pathology that in most serious cases has caused the death of the infected persons.

Prevention is for now the best way to fight the Legionella bacteria. Proper maintenance of water and sanitation systems as well as periodical tests on water taken from critical points makes it possible to keep the development of the microorganism under control.
