The group of experts of CEN / TC 172 / WG 3: Analytical methods for the evaluation of paper and paperboard in contact with food, met on April 6 at the Ecol Studio headquarters in Lucca.

The Working Group deals with the standardization of analytical methods for the evaluation of paper and paperboard intended for contact with foodstuffs, with the aim of assist companies in the development of their brand, and to protect the final consumer ensuring, that the products placed on the market are safe for human health.

The group is composed of 15/20 experts on Food Contact Materials (FCMs) coming from different country of Europe. The Group members belong to companies operating in the FCMs sector, research institutes, laboratories, consultancy and two of them are a part of Ecol Studio professional team. Although heterogeneous provenance of the participants, they have one common thing: a deep knowledge of materials in contact with food and a great skill about the matter, in a very particular market which is strongly subjected to a constantly evolving regulatory environment.

MICROSOFT SAM Certification for Ecol Studio

During the last months Ecol Studio S.p.A. voluntarily decided to take part to a Microsoft project called SAM (Software Asset Management). .

SAM is a set of proven IT practices including management and optimization of corporate software licensing purchase, allocation, maintenance, use and disposal.
The implementation of SAM has followed subsequent steps such as providing Microsoft with corporate inventory and photographic evidences of PC authentication certificates, software licences and servers located both in our headquarters in Lucca and Fornoli.
This procedure has helped us to identify Ecolstudio’s softwares and where they are used, understanding if they are efficiently used avoiding lacks and waste. .
The final result was excellent!

Microsoft increased the rating of Ecol Studio S.p.A and released us its SAM certification, valid for 18 months, certifyimg that the softwares in use and related licences are original, adequate and do not violate the terms but comply with current standards, protecting us form legal risks.





Tissue World , The World's Largest Dedicated Tissue Industry Trade, will take place from 10th to 12th April

The international biennial event original Tissue World began in Nice in 1993 and held in 2013 and 2015 in Barcelona.

This year the world’s largest show specifically for the tissue business will take place in Milan and Ecol Studio will partecipate with its own stand to present its features and latest new service PaperNewsPaper: a focus on UE and Italian regulatory framework concerning food contact materials (FCM), a specific tool for paper industry useful for tissue field as well.

Ecol Studio has recently held a Sales Meeting at its headquarters in Lucca (20-21st February 2017) , the first of a series of meetings.

A two days intense training event attended by Ecol Studio collaborators belonging to different Business Areas (consultants and specialists) and the sales force of its different locations. The purpose of the event was to get everybody on the same page about effective business and marketing strategies , sales techniques and market approach, customers’ needs recognition and fulfillment according to specific requirements.
