Are you aware of the strategic role that sustainability is playing right now in boosting consumers’ confidence and sales?

How important is for your company to assure quality, safety and environmental criteria?

Sustainability of materials and articles that come in contact with food is now increasing in the top ranking of features that led the consumers’ choices.
Consumers are increasingly aware of environmental impacts and companies have an opportunity to gain market share by addressing consumer concerns.

The use of eco-compatible, compostable and biodegradable materials and articles are trends that cannot be stopped.
More and more consumers demand environmental friendly, biodegradable products.

The presence on the market of biodegradable and compostable bioplastics, often made by renewable raw materials like starch, cellulose, soy protein, lactic acid etc. is growing every day.

Paper Products are turning into multimaterial-multilayer hybrid ones to satisfy the increasing needs for high performance, design, safety.

They typically require additional coatings or other modifications to perform well as food containers, and that affects how well they decompose and create new challenges when it comes to compostability, biodegradability and recyclability of materials, and subsequently articles.

Can your customers be sure about your products’ safety for food contact and for the environment?

Ecol Studio supports you in developing your strategy for sustainability by assessing your products.
Reliable information and test reports about compostability and biodegradability, as well as recyclability, of your paper products build up a solid base for communication to your customers and for design, research and development of your range of products.

Compostability test

Tests certified by TÜV Austria to verify the compostability of packaging according to the European Standard EN 13432, that defines the characteristics that a material must have in order to decompose during an industrial composting process.

This test scheme is carried out for the OK Compost & Seedling certification.

Recyclability test

The mark and RECYCLABLE WITH PAPER - Aticelca® 501 allows to communicate the level of recyclability reached by a paper-based material or product thanks to the result of a laboratory test conducted according to the UNI 11743:2019 standard and to the identification of the recyclability level according to the Aticelca 501/2019 evaluation system.
